Dicoflor|Clinically proven LGG® probiotic, introduced to the Taiwan market with support from Sai Feng Health

To enhance the brand presence of Dicoflor in the Taiwan market, Sai Feng Health is responsible for integrating and promoting Dicoflor’s online channels. The marketing strategy focuses on highlighting the product’s professional background, usage scenarios, and target groups, helping consumers develop a proper understanding of “medical-grade food” and incorporate it into their daily routines.

The Scientific Basis and Clinical Applications of LGG®

LGG® (ATCC 53103) demonstrates excellent resistance to stomach acid, strong adhesion to the intestinal lining, and immune-regulating effects. Its production line is FDA-certified, and its efficacy is recognized by multiple international medical authorities, especially in addressing intestinal and allergy-related issues. It is also certified by the following international professional organizations:

  • The World Allergy Organization (WAO) recommends its use for managing allergies in children.
  • The World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) recommends its use to help adults with intestinal discomforts such as diarrhea, bloating, and abdominal pain.
  • The European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHN) and the European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) strongly recommend its use to help relieve acute abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea in children.

Its main applications include:

  • After antibiotic treatment: Helps restore the balance of gut microbiota and reduces antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
  • Gastrointestinal discomfort: Can help relieve diarrhea, constipation, or imbalances in the gut microbiota.
  • Infant gut health: Suitable for supporting the establishment of a healthy gut microbiota in babies.
Allergy and immune modulation: Studies show that Dicoflor’s Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) can help improve allergy symptoms such as eczema or allergic rhinitis.

Dicoflor emphasizes the use of a single, high-purity strain to avoid potential antagonistic interactions or uncertain reactions caused by mixed strains, ensuring product consistency and reproducibility of clinical benefits. Additionally, it is one of the few probiotic products involved in clinical studies under a brand name (rather than just a strain), making it easier for physicians and pharmacists to verify and reference international literature, thereby reducing risks in professional communication.

Dosage Form Design:

  • Liquid drop form: Suitable for infants over 6 months old and those with swallowing difficulties. The gentle, tasteless formula can be added directly to food or drinks.
  • Powder form: Suitable for children and adults, each packet contains 6 billion live LGG® bacteria. It can be dissolved in cold water, milk, or juice, with no noticeable taste and good palatability.

Usage Recommendations:

Daily consistent supplementation is recommended on an empty stomach (such as upon waking or before bedtime) to enhance bacterial survival and colonization. Clinical observations show that after continuous use for about 1 to 3 months, improvements in intestinal function, smoother bowel movements, and alleviation of allergy symptoms are often seen. Initial reactions may include increased bowel movement frequency or changes in stool color, which are normal transitional responses as the probiotics adjust the gut microbiota.

Starting in July, Dicoflor will be sold on major e-commerce platforms and channels with the assistance of Caifeng Health.
